Put your polish where your mouth is! Wait...what?

The age-old question of which nail polish lasts longest without chipping has officially been tried and tested by yours truly!

These past few weeks, I have been trying different brands of polish and many different ways of applying the polish to make it last longer.

Brands used: O.P.I., L'Oreal, Essie, Revlon, Sally Hanson, SinfulColors, Nicole by O.P.I., RIMMEL, and  Orly.

The results, you ask? Well, you may be surprised that it was neither the top most advertised or priciest. L'Oreal won out with not just one color, but each color I had, every time I used the brand.

One thing I have to say about L'Oreal nail polish is that it's not as thick or lacquer-like as O.P.I., Essie, or Sally Hanson. I liked being able to do 2-3 thin layers, letting each dry completely before the next. This prevented any smudging, smearing, and the dreaded post sleep 'blah' effect when waking up the morning after doing them.

After reading up on the many 'proved methods' or 'correct' way to apply the polish, here is the most effective and lasting way for your nail polish.

4 Strokes in all:

1.

2.

3.

4. This last stroke is to go along the tip of your nail. This prevents chipping, giving you reinforcement for the days activities! If you look closely, you can see the tip of my nail is a little thicker. With your second coat, you will not need to do the 4th stroke :)

In case anyone asks, this color is L'Oreal 'Posh' #571. I LOVE this color and get lots of comments on it.

Hope you all found this helpful and enjoyable! Have a happy Friday tomorrow!

Peace out, y'all! Haha...
